Ottawa,
I currently run a Frank3 turbo. For those not familiar here are the specifics as fas as I know:

TD06 20G style compressor housing
54trim Garret compressor wheel
Mitsubishi centre section
TDO6 turbine wheel
TD05 7cm turbine housing
46lbs/min

This is what I plan on upgrading it to:
Garret 60-1 wheel
TD06H turbine wheel clipped 15degrees
TD05 8cm turbine housing

I figure the new setup will flow between 55-60lbs/min max.

Any comments or suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Looks like a good upgrade. I run a 60-1 and love it. Is there a particular reason for this upgrade? planning on racing more? daily driver?

The reason for the upgrade is to make more power. I'd like to trap at least 115 on pump gas on a 4500rpm to 8000rpm powerband.

Car is a daily driver to and from work.

My concern is the 20G style compressor housing and wether or not I should upgrade it to a T04E or possibly a TO4S cover if it will fit under my SBR cast manifold.

I think you can get more (A LOT) out of your current setup if you aren't completely set on getting rid of it. Your mods list doesn't help me out much, and I'm assuming your 1/4 time is not very current.

That turbo is good to AT LEAST 400hp, it's rated to max out at OVER 500hp according to the manufacturer. There are many a 300hp guy running mid 12's, which is damn near 115 traps if I'm not mistaken.

I think it may be time to review your setup in it's entirety. Injectors, fuel delivery, tuning, all essential to getting the most from the turbo.

Quarter mile time is accurate. That was 22psi and pump gas but before the Magnus intake.

I know the turbo can make over 400 to the wheels but not on pump gas and 22psi. I want to make 400whp on pump gas and retain the stock 2G head. The turbo is now flowing 40lbs/min at 22psi, which is consistent with 108-110mph traps in a full weight 2G, stock head and intake manifold.

I would like to see 45lbs/min at 22psi on 94octane. That will net me 115mph traps I hope.

300HP to the wheels might get you a mid 12 time slip but not at 115MPH.

I have reviewed my set-up which now includes 1000cc injectors and I tune with a PLX wideband and DSMlink.

Forgive me for not being super familiar with the Frank turbos, and for not knowing what your experience level is, but I have a few questions/comments:

Do you have a FMIC?
Are you getting knock?/What is you timing like?
Do you have an external WG?
Did you upgrade you BOV/is yours leaking?

If you can't put 350hp to the ground with this turbo something is VERY wrong. If I'm looking at this turbo correctly, it flows well over 100 more CFM than the evoIII, which 350hp is achievable on pump gas. For pete's sake, I was on a small 16g and EMBARRASSED to not put 300 to the ground, on 80% 93 octane/20% 100 octane. Luckily my tranny was falling apart and my fuel pump was taking a shit so I have something to blame it on. Oh yeah, and at 18-19psi.

There has to be something that needs a remedy here...and it's not Frank3.
Compression test?
Leak test?
Do you have a log to post?

edit: please update your mods list with what you've got!
