The 4g64 in my Spyder(5spd) has developed quite a knock, could just fix it but would rather just drive it as long as I can, around tax refund time i hope LOL, then swap in a 4g63.

I've compared a few sites and local places. But was I really need is help as im not quite as engine savy as I would like to be yet.

I have no horse power goals at the moment, this is my dd not a project atm, but the highest i would ever take it would be about 400hp.

What my main concern is what is going to hold up the best. 50 miles a day at the least to work and back.

SIM is a little expensive at the moment. And i don't have a core, unless they take 4g64 cores.

So where is my best bet, any help is much appreciated.

2000$ would be great. 3000 is pushing it.

Edit.

This actually doesn't look that bad.

Yeah i know it's for a non-turbo.

If I had the know how and time, I would want a turbo. But i have no other way to get the 25 miles to and 25 back from work everyday at 5am.

And I don't see a turbo conversion going down in a day.
Also I'm paying a shop to install it since engines are not my strong suit.

Starting school in the spring.
