I'm looking to build a 2.3 stroker to replace my stock 1g 6 bolt strong enough to support an FP red. What would be the most cost effective way? I already have the 4gcs crank out of 88-92 hyundia sonata. What rods would be strong enough but not overkill? Eagle H beams or shot peened 1g big rods? What compression ratio forged pistons would be suitable for a street car running FP RED? 9.0:1 ...8.8:1 ....8.5:1 or lower. My car is daily driven and raced often

I run JE pistons and Eagle rods. 8.5:1 compression. I got a crank from a 2g non-turbo spyder. I'm running a 60-1 (same as red) and it works great. I get 20psi at 3500rpm, low end is great.

any times or dynos yet???

im running about the same setup as herostar...i recently ran a 11.3@124 on about 21psi...60' was 1.7xx...

thats on stock top end (head, intake, cams) and shitty wallmart tires..so with at least drag radials and a 1.6ish 60' it would be deep into low 11's.

I just finished my 2.3L install (eagle rods 'n wiseco pistons) with the stock top end, but only a big16g turbo :(

those are some sweet ass times, cant wait to see what my car does (in the proccess of tuning it now)
