Loggers ?

What's the main difference between DSM Loggers and Pocket Loggers, the DSM Loggers is cheaper and it comes with a palm pilot in the kit, any help would be great, thanks!

Difference is the software. Ive used both and do like pocketloggers much better, I think its way easier to use. But if you dont have a palm then id just role the dsmlogger.

The Pocket logger guys are actually selling and supporting the software they wrote and the cables they make.

The DSMlogger guy is just shipping software that is free to anyone.

I would get pocketlogger and pick up a Palm M100/105 from ebay.

Cool, so pocket loggers are a better tuning tool then SAFC2 then? and also can you use the keydriver chip as well with the logger? And is it recommended to get bigger injectors like ppl say when you get the SAFC2? New to tuning here

Hold on a second there...

Pocketloggers or any logger is NOT a tuning device like SAFC. All it does is log parameters, like a reader. It DOES NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS (other than clearing the CEL). The main reason people get a logger is to look for knock. The keydriver chip can be setup to read knock on the boost gauge on Stage III.

Bigger injectors is for bigger turbos. For 650ccs and up, you need something to control it like MAFT Gen II or SAFC.

Your not getting it.

The SAFC is something you use to change the engine tuning. It works by intercepting the airflow signal from the ECU and modifing it to increase or decrease the airflow signal the ECU sees.
The Datalogger is something you use to monitor the engine tuning.
The pocket logger product is a datalogger as is MMCd, TMO, Scanmaster, etc.

You have to use a SAFC or similar feul computer and a logging device to tune with, together. You need dos!. Save some headaches and get dsmlink.
