Well i was in the middle of logging yesterday when the data stopped coming in and all the #'s went blank. Later on the batteries died in the palm. So i replaced them and still nothing. Ive heard that the palm does that from time to time so i deleted mmcd and uploaded the newest version 1.8G from my computer. Brought it back to my car and it still isnt reading anything for some reason. It actually has been acting up lately, if it wont read i have to mess with the logger cable like unplug and plug it back in or wiggle it around and stuff its just being stupid but every time before this it has worked. Is it possable that my logger cable died? i checked all the connections on the obd port and there all still on there good and everything  . I pm'ed somone about buying a new cable but i just wanted to make sure thats what all of you think i need. I would just assume sense when i used to play with the cable it would just work out of the blue. I havent tested the port yet so i dont know if it still has a heart beat or anything, should i?

im sure somone else has ran into this problem. I just ordered a new logger cable so hopfully that does it for me. If not, where do i go from there? -Ryan

like 5 months old, after the batteries died i had to recalibrate the screens touch thing because i would push on the right and it would highlight on the left side for some reason but thats fine now. Also my logger cable got severly crimped and i think that may have broke a wire inside or somthing.

Well guys got the new logger cable and tryed it out. It still doesnt work!! So i again uninstalled the mmcd program and reinstalled an older version 1.5d insted of the 1.8g or w/e. After the reinstall it still wont read anything at all and its getting really annoying. So i went to my friends house that also has a 92 tsi and hes got his logger setup that works fine so i asked if i could try my palm on his cable. Went there did it and still it wont read anything at all but we put his on and its perfect. i dont understand wtf is wrong with this thing, i selected all the perimeters and uncheck pause just so the obvious is stated. What else can i do?

Try resetting your PALM and then reinstall MMCD...this sounds like a strange problem with your PALM. Maybe your palm gave up the ghost? Make sure that your connection from the palm to the data cable is OK (no bent pins).

ill try that tonight, but yea i mean it hot syncs fine and theres no bent pins at all, ive actually tried two differnt cables now one with a female end that needed a male->male adapter and one with a male end that plugged right into the cradles cable. Ill post an update after i try resetting and reinstall. thanks
