I was driving home today and my logger was alarming, when I checked it it was showing split second spurts of very high knock up to 240 counts! I thought the ecu could only read 43 counts :| I logged a few minutes of this and when I looked at it home I also noticed at other points (not at the same time when it knocks that high) my timing advance will go up to 243 degrees for a split second....weird. Is my datalogger on its way out or could it be my ecu? Thanks in advance, Zach

I'm using MMCd v1.71 on an m100. this morning I wasnt able to recreate the problem while logging. Maybe it is just a bug in the software?

I never had this problem before with my old Palm Vx but when I got my Sony Clie it did the exact same time the first night I had it. I was just from the cable coming loose. If you watch, most of your other parameters that you're logging will probably go to 0 when that happens. I just made sure all the connections were tight and it hasn't done it since then.

That was what I was thinking too. Sounds more like a comunications problem.
MMCd 1.7.1 Is Andrew Shinn's unofficial version, it's always possible it has a few bugs.

Steve

It's possible that it is a bug in Andrew's version since that's what I'm using, but after I saw it do it the first time I noticed it was happening whenever I moved the PDA so I'm pretty sure it was just a communication problem. It only happened the first night I had the PDA which was almost a week ago. I unplugged everything, plugged it back in and ever since then it hasn't done it one time yet.

Also, I was using the same version of MMCd on my Palm Vx, which never showed the problem.

Hope that helps. :thumb:
