What I am saying is that if they used a larger turbine side they wouldn’t be choking off power as soon as it comes on. There is a reason you are running a larger turbine side because you realize what back pressure is.

Have you? You can take a look at his chart here That chart looks plenty clean to me. I have seen MUCH worse.

Yeah, and you also give up spool time going to a larger hotside. A .63 T3 is plenty to make big power with, proven over and over and over again.

It was more of a passing comment, I don't know many running coated pistons either, but you get the tone of my comment.

Yeah, I've seen it before. Just because you've seen worse doesn't make that look any better. That dyno looks about as good as the quart of milk in my fridge (it expired in August).

I haven't used any coating on a forged piston, as I don't see a real need to. My uncle used swaintec's coating on the hypereutectic pistons in his 350. He sprayed the living crap out of it, without the required fuel when he put in the wrong nozle. It blew the headgasket on one bank. The pistons were perfect though. That was much more than those pistons were ever designed for. For a forged piston they're just overkill, but on stock pistons I don't think it's a bad idea.
 
That dyno chart is fine....It has a low smoothing rate, looks great.

How does a bigger wg make a turbo spool faster?
