lightwight/stock flywheel help

i'm just trying to find out what is best for me, i'm not racing but i drive hard i'm not realy going to be lonching it to much to even at all this will be my DD just a fun DD that is all and i plan on useing a 2600lb clucth

I use a Fidanza FW/ACT 2600 in my DD. I would be a little hesitant possibly to the 2600 putting a little pressure on those 7bolt crank bearings. At least unplug the clutch switch. If you're not looking for over 350whp, you should be fine with a 2100 or Exedy street clutch.

no i got a 6 bolt in my spyder and i hear that lightweight flywheels can rattle??

They can chatter a bit. I have the 2600 fidanza setup, and I have no issues. I love it.

ACT or Fidanza is what I would go with.

I had the 2 piece lightweight Fidanza aluminum flywheel when I purchased my car, after about a month the outer ring actually seperated itself from the main part.

I caught it before it caused any damage to the tranny or housing, but something to keep in mind. Excessive heating and cooling will cause the 2 pieces to expand and contract at different paces which over time might cause seperation. just my .02

Mind you I did not abuse my car, I believe the previous owner was very hard on it, launching at every intersection and what not.

I installed a stock flywheel and could not tell a noticable difference.

I rocked the RRE 14lb lightened stock flywheel and ACT2100 w/street disc. Goes without saying I also run a stainless steel scattershield. Combo was good and reliable up to around the 450 crank h.p. range before slipping. On a FWD I think an ACT2100 would hold fine though there are tons of other clutches available that are cheaper with different pressure ratings. I upgraded to the RRE "no name" 11.25 lb forged chromoly flywheel and ACT2600 combo this weekend.
