i have an xtd flywheel , its drilled and slotted. or a stock older flywheel to choose from, the xtd is 11.5 lbs both need to be resurfaced, ( just hit it with a sanding disc or whatever ) Could i use the xtd flywheel? or should i absolutely avoid it?

I would just get the stock one resurfaced, that Ebay one looks very strange to me. Slotted and dimpled is for brake rotors IMO. But I also wouldn't resurface it yourself, I would take it to a shop and have it resurfaced and have the step height adjusted to whatever clutch your using.

We all know how tight the budget can get, but cheaping out on the clutch is just asking for a date with the engine hoist or trans jack.

The I'd just clean it up with some WD40 and very light grit sandpaper. The get the step height checked.

No clue. LOL I'd offer to take some pics, but I doubt the 1ga headlight wiring is even close to that of a 2g.

alright then, this clutch/flywheel has only about 200 miles on it, but i broke my trans twice, stuck in third gear. Ever try to take off from a green light in third gear? from a stop?.. im sure thats how i smoked the clutch.

You could clean up the stock flywheel by having it lightly bead blasted, it won't remove anything but the rust. I wouldn't even consider using that clutch disk though.

a little light grit sand paper and touched up with little round brown disc on 1/4 die grinder. didnt removed any material just took off the rust, barely. im going to make sure its all gone before i put it on, clutch didnt ship out until yesterday so a few more days still to wait :(
