As the title states my lifters will not budge when I try to pull them out of my head. I removed the cams, the rocker arms, and then proceeded to pull out the lifters. I have done everything I can think of to get these out. I started out with a regular pair of pliers then when that wouldn't work I attempted to use vise grips. I locked those vise grips down tighter then a claims asshole yet the vise grips end up slipping off the lifter. This happened for every one of the lifters. I am completely puzzled and before I pull so hard that I $hit my intestines out I figured I would ask for some advise. Thanks in advance.

the best thing I have found for really stuck ones was to use side dykes(side cutters) or what ever you want to call them. I get them in the end of the lifter where it is kind of indented and then pry on the head with the fulcrum(prying point) as close to the lifter as possible.

when I do this on really stuck ones I am good at pullin the inner part out and then I use a screw extractor in the part thats left.

another good idea is to use carb spray in the little holes in the cylinder head just by each lifter and letting that soak than use oil.

be determained and try my idea you WILL get them out. If this doesnt work pm me.

Use compressed air, stick the nozzle into/onto these holes and shoot air through them. The lifter always comes out for me this way. Good Luck
