This is a weird one. This sound only happens letting off the throttle. It almost sounds like a BOV in the video but its most definitely something metallic.

I know the internet noise game is annoying but Im truly at a loss. Motor is brand new and didnt sound like this during heat cycling and only started after I drove it for a few miles and brought it home because MaP sensor lost its source.

Any insights/help appreciated!

Another thing that came to mind is the torque converter not fully seated on the pump. Did you remove the converter?
Converter was locked in place with this

Gotcha i only ask because sometimes people dont know that a torque converter needs to be pressed in and spun for it to fully “seat” into the pump.
Usually trans wont even go on in those cases. I appreciate all the small stuff, im sure its going to be something really dumb I did

Well we are ALL here to give you the best opinions that we can. Keep at it and be CAREFUL under the car when you do that!!! :nono::)

Nothings more fun than being under an awd car on a lift with driveshaft and wheels spinning LOL

You guys are the best. My online family!

I feel the same way about this place, my online family. Always concerned and helpful, which is refreshing! 😍

This may be the issue. Starter plate looks mangled.... and I remember there has never been bolts by crank holding it to block...

Weird it would only ne on decel...but i havent started car to confirm

The frequency sweep of engine harmonics and exhaust note going from high to low may present a certain amplification of vibrational energy in the engine. Going up from low frequency to high may not create the same amplification effect and instead serve to cause an interference pattern.

In reality, most times I make more sound sitting down into a chair than getting up from one.

Wish I could say the same. Between my knees and the old man groan I think people in space can hear me get off my recliner. LOL

Man what a relief. Did anyone guess converter bolts??.? ROFL
I am SUPER HAPPY for you! 😍

Stupid question, you didn't remove or reinstall any heatshielding did you? Might be loose bolts. It really sounds like something that's firm when the engine revs, but the shaking from decel vibrates it.

Called it. Go me.

Shall we mark this "Resolved" now?? :)
It's my favorite part! 😍
