this wire came from the same loom as the battery cable that comes from the starter, however neither end was connected to anything. soooo, can anyone tell me the start and end locations of this ground cable?

im working on changing a lot of mine now, any recommendations for other ones that are factory that i should replace?

The terminal to firewall wire on mine was trash. I would replace them all honestly. I just bought a set that had all of my ground wires in it.

question:

The big 3 - DSM Forums: Mitsubishi Eclipse, Plymouth Laser, and Eagle Talon Forum: DSMtalk.com

this link says to upgrade your alternator to battery positive wire...does anyone do this? i thought the positive went to the starter only...

5 years ago i used a 4g wire to upgrade the stock wires, running from the alt to the fuse box, but now i just wnat to bypass that and go directly to the positive terminal. ive been plagued by electrical problems for years with this car and hoping to cure them all before i get the car moving again...any help or guidance in replacing the alternator power wire and what size fuse i need to put inline between the positive terminal and the car would be good. thanks :)

The alternator should be pushing 75 amps if I'm correct. The alternator choke fuse is a 100 amp, so I'd say you should be good with a 100 or 120.

I did it on my Camaro it didn't seem to effect anything though. The only reason I did it was because I read on my Camaro forums when I was a NeWb :banghead:
