lean closed loop cruise very lean but goes into open loop no problem

I have a 95 gsx mode are in profile its a full rebuild 9.1 compression and .020 over. When I first started it i ran it in open loop and I had it idling perfect and cruise around at 14.7 and it ran fine lean on decel and rich on accel. I was using a lot on gas so I tryed switching it to closed loop it wouldn't stay idle but it would drive fine just alittle lean. stft were moving and ltft were being saved. I didn't like how lean it was running so I switched it back to open loop just to get it home. I got home did blt and the throttle seal leaking I replaced them, out it back into closed loop and it would idle untill u shut it off .. so I took it for a drive it was cruising around 18.0 afr and stft would change around 5% but now it wouldn't save to ltft anymore so after keeping out of open loop I did a small pull and it switched to open loop and then back into closes loop... I know yer gona ask for a log but I'm currently at work am I missing somthing? And is there a way to change settings in closed loop without it effecting those in open loop? Thank you and I tryed to keep this simple Haha
