So I've noticed that my car leaks coolant out of the overflow when I shut it off. I was thinking that this might be a bad rad cap? Could that be the solution?

Pull the thermostat out ,, Some people with mods need a better rad or use high temp coolant .. Everyone thinks the faster you go the better, with out thinking about the cooling system :thumb: just my 2 cents

Edit , Pull the thermostat out , to check that its working (opening and closing)

Definitely leave the thermostat in. It's warming up so maybe your car is getting cooled a bit less. Thoroughly check over the entire system, make sure she's full of coolant and that the coolant looks good and clean.

Sorry guys , edited my post ..Meant pull it out to check it ..Boil some water and drop the t-stat in , watch for it to open

Yes try this. I've heard this is a great way to test it. Also, my buddy put a high performance aluminum rad in his subbie and it runs a looot cooler now. Make sure its double core.

If you changed the ECT sensor along with your old thermostat maybe one of them was bad and now with the new ones your system is working properly. If you don't see any signs of it overheating I wouldn't worry about it.
