car shuts off when driving

Ok so i just got my vacuum lines all fixed and right.the person i bought the car from hacked the thing up. i Hooked up a full auto timer the car was running good but now when i turn my turnsignal on and turn the car the car shuts off and wont start back up. i was thinking a bad ground or something but i dont kno wut else to look for

Typically if you start with the last thing you messed with it helps - You may want to review the Auto Timer Install.

I follwed the instructions but thers only one draw back i dident use a harness i did it the old way. mabey it would be a good idea to just take it off

Are you sure your power/ground wires are in the proper spot? When i was wiring up my pushbutton start i wanted the pushbutton to glow when the headlights were on. well needless to say two wires running to the relay's got crossed (same color wires) and when i turned my headlights on for a test run...... my car started. It was cool for like two seconds, but was easy to fix. Just try checking your wires, it could be a simple fix.

Ok guys thanks for all your help but it wasant my turbo timer even tho i cut the wires. The metel on the fuse box on the + terminal on my battery was hitting my hood and causing the batt to arch and it would make the car shut off.....problem fixed thanks guys

My 91 1.8 used to do that, i just got a shorter battery, how did you fix yours?

I dident fix it yet but when i get home i am going to fix it. i am going to wire the fuse box to the fire wall then make some adjustments to the connector and wires. mine was so bad that it burnt holes in the bottom of my hood but it all good.
