My car has been lagging a lot during 2nd- 3rd gear on regular street driving conditions. I log it to find a lot of knock 30+. What would cause this? Phantom?
What could this be. The other gears/ rpms are fine with no knock.

EDIT:
I notice this happens around 2.5-3k rpms. My ceddy knock boost gauge will shoot through the roof.

For now evoscan/ ecuflash meets my needs. When my hks cam's goes in I can just smooth out my idle table to compensate. I can also compensate for my 680 injectors. Other then that I should be fine. And if I run into trouble I'll just have a reputable member on here tune for me. Done deal. Plus dsmlink is out of budget for now, but later on I'll think about it.
But I assume no one has ever encounter my situation about knock. Im just going to change my knock sensor right now. We'll see how it goes.

Its just weird because my wideband show 14.7. I'm not running lean at all. Must be the sensor.
 
Well it sounds like you have a combination of problems. My knock sensor was going out (DSMLink also let me know that there was a malfunction in the circuit for the knock sensor). When I was in 2nd gear I could feel the hesitate to make power before I exceeded 4k RPM's. It could just be the knock sensor...

You should double/triple check your gauges. Try to find out why boost is going crazy in 2nd gear (and if it really is boosting that high). You should see if your wastegate actuator or whatever you are using is still connected (not boosting 'infinitely'). Hopefully your AFR gauge is right on the money but that could be off too giving you a false sense of security.

Evoscan seems to be a legitimate way of tuning (I am using ecmlink and haven't had problems so far), I guess it's a matter of preference and experience dialing in...so there shouldn't be problems there.
 
Reach and feel if there is goo coming from your knock sensor. If so replace it. Also check for any exhaust components rattling such as your downpipe or heat sheild.
 
You're right. I don't make much power until after 3.5k rpm or so because of the hesitation from knock.
I went to change my knock sensor today and I couldn't find the right size tool. I'll go about it when I have time again.
