But yeah, that's the stuff. -it looks like smurf piss Run a few treatments of that stuff through your oil system and begin to start enjoying less phantom knock! -This stuff is kind of a band-aid, so I'd seriously recomend that you guys consider getting into a set of revised lifters... If the problem still persists then go with either: EPROM chips with the PK elimination code or a DSMLink

Funny, that's what I was thinking... But I think that 'piss' is more thread-friendly then calling it something that'd be normally dripping out of Smurffet's vag

I got my set from TopLine for ~$90 bux... I've also seen local DSMers that have had good luck with getting them from partsdinosaur.com. -They have the set for ~$85:

Honestly, they all do the same thing... I'm even thinking that they are all made in the same place and you will just end up paying the mark up, regardless of where you get them.

I've been running my TopLine set for a while now without any issues (or needing to use any 'smurf happy juice')

yea, but since my car leaks oil about a quart every 2-3 weeks i cary a quart with me so i mixed a half full quart or oil and smurf juice!!!

drove the car today only got 21 counts of knock, thats alot better then 43, and i only got 21 one time

i got a couple counts later tonight around 40, but its not as bad. i justt need to change my oil

This really sounds like a knock sensor issue to me. I had a problem very similar to this. I went ahead and replaced the knock sensor and the problem went away. I replaced the knock sensor with one from Advanced Auto, only about 50 bucks.

yea but cant bear oem mitsu parts! so ill shell out the extra $40 for a knock sensor

i put the bottle in, jumped on the interstate drove about 5 miles, not expecting it to already have started working, but just took my normal exit, had about 20 in first and like 2 in second which is a big difference from the 43 i was getting before.

yea i noticed a differnce the 1st time i drove. i still get 40 counts sometimes but its not as much or as long if it does it goes away faster , but thanks BoostedTalonTS for telling us about the smurf happy juice . its getting better so maybe that was part of the problem and knock sensor is the other part, if its still doing it in two days im buying a knock sensor
