Ok I am looking for confirmation on this issue. I have now read in a couple of different place that tapping the knock sensor wire with the SAFC has a similar effect as the infamous "blue wire mod". Now I know better than to use the SAFC to measure knock; however, can tapping the knock sensor degrade the signal to the ECU, thereby registering "false" knock or just throw the readings out of whack. I have been having some really inconsistent logging results, all surrounding the presence of knock or lack as it were. It all depends on... well I don't know what it depends on but sometimes I have as much as 33 counts of knock, sometimes I have 0, I have no idea what I'm really getting but I know the ECU is pulling timing based on the readings. Thanks for any input on this issue.

I use the knock feature on the safc2 and it has been as high as 29, then all of the sudden 0, for example on a 3rd gear pull it will read zero and then when the rpms drop the knock sometimes will jump around, every time it has happened though it was the knock sensor hearing lifter tick.
