what exactly comes in the kit i was gonna buy one but they didnt have any in stockat the time but the guy told me that it has a plastic intake tube also he showed me a picture of a kit for a mustang and said it would be the same and it had a tube.
 
yeah, I thought I was getting a pipe too, but I didn't....anybody hear of any universal pipes for our cars to lead to the intake??? I have seen one at a site, but I don't remember where it was. Probably easier making something up yourself, but i'm lazy.
 
Here is my dilemma, I am looking for a street machine, not a track monster. I wanna get above 300HP with a nice quick spooling turbo. However, first things first and that means, the supporting cast. I've got my Boost Gauge, MBC, GReddy BOV, Magnecor Wires, and NGK plugs. Intake is next.

K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit.


The Injen on the first link is cheaper than the Dejon + the FIPK but I am worried that the Injen intake pipe that gets attached to the backend of the MAS isn't large enough. The Dejon is the 3" model so I have maximum flexibility if I wanna go with a larger turbo than the AGPT28 I plan on getting after all the other mods + turbo back exhaust. Thanks for your opinions...
 
if your going to get a larger turbo.. i sugges go with the dejon 3" intake pipe.. without the filter and buy your own filter/adapter somewhere for cheaper (ebay). if you get the injen intake pipe.. it was meant to connect to the stock t25, but since u said u were planning to get a bigger turbo.. go with the dejon 3" intake pipe.. u dont wanna end up spending more in the long run..
 
If you are upgrading to a 16g or t28. The Injen Intake will work fine with those turbos. Depends what you like better. They both work great and are much better then the stock Intake pipe.
 
Thanks for all your input.. I was thinking the same thing. I may have missed something, but under the options for the intake pipe itself, there doesn't seem to be a reducer coupler for my lowly T25. Is it a special DIY kinda thing or do they sell something like that somewhere else?
 
I was going to buy the K&N FIPK, but I just saw a MAS adapter from turbotrix.com for $30 and then I could use a regular cone K&N filter that I have from my old car. Are there any downsides to this setup? I don't want to cut corners on my car, but this seems like an easy way to save $75.00. Let me know what you think.
 
well the FIPK has a larger filter surface area. It also is emissions certified. But other than that I dont think there is any difference.

Oh the FIPK comes with a bracket that holds the bottom of the filter up off the car so it can get more air.
