I just replaced my oil pan because I stripped one of the oil return line bolt holes.

In the process of torquing the bolts, i yet again stripped another. Its the bolt directly under the timing belt but I dont think it will cause a big problem. Do you guys think it will cause a leak?(I used "The Right Stuff" as a gasket) I doubt it because wwhat I saw the previous owner use as a gasket(see picture, its only rtv'd near the bolt holes)

Also, I dont have the torque specs for the transfer case bolts and was wondering if anyone has that info?

Thirdly, in the pan, I found two foreign objects. I think that they are probably from the ebay turbo that the previous owner had on the car but I am not sure. Take a look at the attached picture.

Just some random notes...DO NOT lay directly beneath the transfer case when taking it off. Thankfully, I read the tech articles first. If not, I would probably be hurting right now.

Just make sure you clean the surface where the "the right stuff" will make contact. Any oil and it may not seal right. Also, don't over do it or some of the stuff will squeeze out into the oil and clog the pick up filter screen.

Yea, I thoroughly cleaned it. What do you consider overdoing it? Not saying that I went overboard but just wondering.

A nice thin line in-between the surface of the oilpan edges would be right. You will know it's too much when some of it dripped out from the edges but I think you got it right. Also, one bad bolt won't hurt as long as you have the two next to it on both sides good.

There was some that seeped out of the edges when I tightened it but it wasnt alot and it was only in a few spots. Theres only one way to find out if its going to leak but I figured starting it at 1130 at night wouldnt please my neighbors.

Anyone know the torque specs for the t case bolts or what the random pieces that were in my pan are?
