Picked it up on Saturday @ Norco Mazda in CA. It's the sport (base - if you can call it that, it's got climate control, aux input jack, mechanical LSD, DSC + TCS, rear curtain air bags, and more) model. Got it right off the truck, never been driven and still in wrapping with 8 miles on the odo, for a great price! Love the room and rear seat/trunk space, handling, stealth looks. Have yet to hit boost, as i am still breaking it in! Gonna keep it stock for now, but Mazdaspeed makes a cat-back, intake, and coilover suspension set too. I'm surprised by the stock exhaust, it's almost as loud as my GS-T w/ Espelir catback! The idle sounds throaty, and has a clean, deep sound but not annoying on the freeway.

Congratz on the buy. Personally, I'd never be able to buy a brand new car...I'd be so paranoid, I'd be too scared to drive it.

Hey just so you know, my buddy got a new 07 mazdaspeed 3 last spring. Completely stock, besides opening the stock air box temporarily, it put down 250 whp and 281 tq! Definitely impressive.

Damn from just an open air box?! My sister just bought an 07 MS3 like a month ago, I didn't think too much about it till now... but FWD just isnt my thing as I live up in the northwest and it rains like everyday here.

My sister on the other hand lives in San Diego, anyways, how much did you get it for?

I got a great deal on it, I paid 21,7XX (inc. destination) + TTL. MSRP on this car with dest. is 22,935. Invoice on this car with dest. is 21,493. I feel that I got a good price, just barely over invoice and 1200 under MSRP, especially considering some of these dealerships try and sell these cars with a markup. I did all the right things in getting internet quotes, comparing offers, and buying at the end of the month. Plus, i made sure that i got one that no one had test-driven.

I'm used to FWD with my 97 GS-T, but i'm fine down here in sunny socal. Plus, i've got both traction control and LSD, and my dsm had neither. Other cars i strongly considered were the 08 WRX 5 door hatch, and the 08 GTI 5-door hatch (hmm.....yeah i like hatches). I loved the GTI interior, the DSG almost swayed me as i spend my commute in downtown LA-santa monica traffic, and it was my 2nd choice overall. The WRX was 3rd on my list. The interior, which subaru parades as being "upgraded" over the GD chassis, is still relatively poor in person. MS3 is better, with the GTI bringing audi-level class. Also, for those who may not know, the "regular" $25k WRX non-premium does not have the front air dam, side sills, sport grille, or even fog lights, it looks extremely boring, both 4 and 5 door. Most pics and reviews always show the premium package WRXs. Considering the premium package with those items is 27,595 with destination, it was way out of my price range. So, value-wise, the MS3 was for me the best choice.

Mr. Body-Massage....GO!!

Awesome deal on the Speed3, man. After seeing the performance of a Speed6, I was a bit leery, but a guy around here has a Speed3 and seems to like the hell out of it. Let us know how she is post-break in :thumb:

If you don't mind me asking, how much is your monthly payment going to be? I have been kind of looking for a new car and it is between the ms6 and the ms3. The awd is winning the debate right now but I can only get a used 6 because they are worth more, but that means high interest rate on a used car :(

Nice car! I love the looks and interior. I was getting close to buying one, but went with a low mileage 05 Sentra spec v for the work commute. This car disappoints me, but for $12k I'll keep it a year or so then look for something else again.
