Im pretty much new to this whole DSM thing so i just got a few questions. I got a 97 gst spyder and the only mod i got on the engine right now is the K&N FIPK. And i also just took the restrictor off.

Alright, so i'm thinking to getting an aftermarked BOV, ###### the HKS SSQV, and i heard that i'll need new intercooler piping. Is that true??
In the future ill probley gonna be upgrading the turbo, to something like a evo 3 16g. So if im gonna need new piping then i might just get a new FMIC and run it on the car with the stock turbo until later on in the summer. Will such a big intercooler make the performance any worse on such a small turbo?? Will it be noticeable?

Also, would a 2.5 inch exhaust be enough to run the 16g? Or should i just got with 3"

Ill also be getting the AEM tru boost boost controller and Dejon Tool intake pipe within a week.

On your exhaust question I will say 3 inch is always better, but then again it will really depend on your goals. Ofcourse a 2.5 will be much quieter. As for you FMIC I heard that it does make you a little slower.

For a aftermarket BOV you will need new piping because it will change the flange i believe except for the Greddy which has the same flange as a 1G?

And you should get a Boost gauge as well as a MBC and some tuning devices.
 
Yes, greddy type S and maybe the Rs have the same flange as 1g. I'd also go with a 3 inch exhaust I'd rather buy a turboback once than get one to small and have to upgrade later. Most people's goals keep getting higher. I think mine started out at 300 whp which I haven't even hit yet and already turned into 400 whp or maybe more :). I'm just going to buy the turbo to support that and clutch. Unfortunetly I bought 650cc injectors and 190 lph fuel pump and will have to upgrade that so it saves you more money to get the bigger stuff.
 
I heard that the AEM boost controller could also be used as a boost guage, cant it?? I really dont want a MBC because i want to be able to up the boost inside the car if i would ever have to. And yea, i wanted to got with a 2.5" so its not too loud, but a 3" with a silencer shouldnt that bad. Like you said i wouldnt want to get the 2.5 and have to replace the whole thing later on.
