I cannot get my car to start without turning it over 8-10 times. Then it runs SUPER poor. I have to get on the gas to keep it running. The throttle is slow to react. 6-bolt swap i picked up in the middle of the project. Fuel pressure is normal. It could be bad gas. I put some octane boost in and 3 gallons of supreme. But I don't know if it would run this poorly for this long. Help!

Second problem is it doesn't seem to get into gear. It's an automatic. I can get it to engage sort of if I rev it in neutral and then put it in gear. From a stop (as I have to rev the engine), I can floor it and get no throttle reaction in gear and it doesn't go anywhere. Someone mentioned I could have some plugs switched to the transmission, they aren't switched.

Third major problem (and probably worst) is I am not registering any oil pressure. The pump is wired correctly.

Any help would be appreciated. I just got a note from the city that I have to have this car registered, and theres no way in this condition.

As far as the first problem, on my 1G, I know yours is a 2, My 1G would do the same thing, Crank and crank, then about the 5th time it would finally kick over and run like crap.

It turned out to be a bad ECU, The ECU either thought it was to hot or to cold cant remember. So it would either flood or not put enough fuel in to even start.

I am throwing P0115 - Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Malfunction. I wonder if that's part of it.

Just checked my ECT, one of the wires wasn't connected. Had an extra, so I have that fixed. Cleared the code. I think it's low on fuel. Still worried about the other two problems. (If this fixes the first)

have you checked the timing? i dont think itll help any with the tranny issues but as far as starting, i had my timing just of few teeth off and it would take a few cranks to get it up and going, then it still ran crappy:(

The coolant temperature sensor plays a big part in fuel control. If its malfunctioning to the point of throwing a code, the engine is probably running extremely rich full time. Replace the ECU coolant sensor (two prong connector on t-stat housing) and reset the code.
