ok, im really in to 3/s cars, im probaly getting a 1st gen VR-4.. but ive always liked eclipses, 2nd gens are really the only thing im interested in, well my first question is, are they more reliable than an a 3000gt?
second, if i got a 2nd gen talon tsi, is there a way i could convert the front to a 2nd gen eclipse, like they do on 3s's to make them look like 99's?
third, is there a milage cut off that i should worry about?

thanks!

The Talon>Eclipse conversion is fairly common and there are several threads about it, including pics.

DSM's are as reliable as their owners allow them to be. Be a jack-ass, skimp on the maintenance, drive it like it's a beater car, do stupid modifications, etc. and the car will respond in kind. Be a good owner, drive it well, keep up to date on maintenance and use quality parts, and the car will treat you just as well.

There's not really a mileage issue to worry about. What you should worry about is corrosion on the body and frame, the condition of the engine and transmission, and how much time and money you can spend on it to get it back in as best a condition as you can.

IMO 3's are generally more stout than Dsm's, but when they do break, the parts are more expensive to replace. Also, 3's are definitely harder to work on. My brother has a Twin Turbo Dodge Stealth putting 430 to the wheels, and it's bad. We'll be racing once I get my 60-1. :sneaky:
