I just bought some used ebay projectors (the ones without the halos). They are in pretty good shape for the most part. I will be reconditioning them. I decided to check out what bulbs they use so I can order the right stuff from sharphid.

Took the bulbs out and then the questions in my head start running. So I decided to take some pics for all to look at so, hopefully, you guys (or gals) can help me out. They are H1 and H3. Not exactly sure which ones are the highs and which are the lows. They also connect funny. I don't like it at first glance. Maybe it's always like this. Check it out...

^^ I assume this is how you are supposed to deinstall/reinstall.

^^ I am not so sure about this one. It has that harness but I don't know if that is a hack job or if they are all like that.

Any info on this would be appreciated. The biggest help would be if somebody that has put an HID conversion kit in these housings could PM me or post how it was done. But, again, anything could help right now. Thanks in advance.

yea thats they way the stock fog light bulbs connect... "also H3"

idk if i would use them for headlight tho..seem kinda small idk if it really matters

That's how the ebay projectors are. All the halos are that way. I was only planning on using these projectors for an HID conversion install. I didn't want to bother with the hassle of a retrofit. Just plug n play. Hopefully it works out. Thanks for the info.

Make sure every bit of fingerprint and dirt is off of those before you install them. They run so hot that any point of heat collection on the glass will melt a hole through.

Thanks. I never touch bulbs with my bare hands unless they are throwaways. I don't plan on using these EVER. Only reason for me getting these housings were for the conversion kit.

If I were you I would do a retrofit on the projector headlights you got. My friend had some HID's in Ebay projectors and they weren't bright at all because of the bulb style. My 9006 kit in 2GB headlights are way brighter than his and the cutoff is okay for stock headlights. Fog light bulb sizes are what they are meant for. Foglights

You can check my gallery and you can see how bright my HID's are with the stock headlight setup. If you want the real nice projector setup, check this link out

E55 projectors installed in aftermarket 2G Eclipse headlamps.

That's AzDave's setup on his car. Super nice and he has one of the best, if not the best LED setups for his taillights as well.

Good luck on whatever you choose to do. If it was me though, I'd take the time and retrofit since you have the projector headlights already.
