Hello, I wasnt sure if i should throw this in the tuning section or not.. but i am having a problem...
I just installed rc550's, 2g mas, and a knob style afc.
the car already has: 3" intake, B16G, rewired 255, dual fpr setup, boost set to 15lbs, i always run the same 93octane fuel, bpr7es. i have boost, egt guages and a logger (mmcd)
My issue is that when i installed this last bit of goodies (maf, injectors, afc) with the afc zeroed my fuel trims are all at 139.8% i know these two items are supposed to kind of compensate for each other... so no big deal maybe i just need more fuel so i decided to turn up the afc a bit to see if it would help..... no change....
----My first statement is when i tinker with the afc settings i see no change in the hertz reading on my logger.... this is no good right, shouldnt i see a change???
----Also when i do a full 3rd gear pull, i have zero knock, my egt's never even hit 1550deg, my o2's read about .88 at there highest, around 2500-3000 it does go down to about .86 sometimes (which scares me), my timing is usually above 19 sometimes much more, my pulse width gets to a max of about 16ms..... i suspect that my o2 sensor is crapping out on me due to the fact that i have had it going to absolute zero volts at idle or just off throttle or light throttle (even before these mods, noticed it just before), it also doesnt always cycle, i swapped it out with another (not neccisarly a good one but another one) and all is the same.... What is the deal????
-----all in all everything seems great... except for the fuel trims and the o2 sensor... if everything else is good, am i safe to drive this thing??? (im sure the two are dependent)
----- with the afc not showing a change in hertz is it a good chance its hooked up wrong or not working properly??
