Well I feel pretty accomplished me and a friend were able to change my timing belt, auto tensioner, pullys, balance shaft belt, Head Gasket, all other major gaskets and put another turbo on with my new AFPR in a time span of 3 days.

Thats including prep work. 1 Day to take it off , 1 day prepping, 1 day to put it on.

Sad thing is that my valve cover is cracked and leaking oil so im going to JB weld it for the time being.

Is that a safe option since its not under too much pressure?

And my -AN Fitting from the fuel rail is leaking. Did anyone use a gasket or just plumbers tape? I used some but maybe not enough to stop the leaking any input is appreciated towards this I plan to do it tommarow morning before I go to school.

Thanks As Usual
Armin

Oil port mod is always a good ideal if you have the opportunity to do good.

plumbers tape should not be getting used on fuel rail. Make sure you are using the correct size, fuel safe o-ring.

Did you do any of the oil port mods that BogusSVO has written up?

I wanted to and Yes I did read up on all of it but I did not have a dremel and I was really short on time and money. Basically I started this on Friday and my car MUST BE driveable by Sunday Night. Along with that Im really strapped on cash with this 600$ I just spent on different things that took a dump on me.

Honestly I wish I at least did the oil port mod on the head but yea. Sad Face LOL.

Only reason I used plumbers tape is because I read it up on a How to: For an aeromotive AFPR. I just followed the directions towards that.

Heres a picture of the fitting on the fuel rail. It already has an o-ring on it but I don't get why It still leaks.

Thanks
Armin

UPDATE

So I found out why it was leaking for some reason my O-ring decided to split in half and what not. Is there a specific type of O-Ring for the rail? Or can I just find one that matches?

Where exactly is it leaking? Between the flanges or at the threads?

its leaking from the flange. And I figured out what was wrong the o-ring that sits on the side of the flange that DOESN'T have the threading had the O-ring get cut or something theres a 1/4 of the o-ring gone so I am pretty sure that was what was causing my leak. Now Im not sure of where to get another one or if its a specific type.

I ended up using brake cleaner and a towel to get most of the junk off of it and it was already treated to a chemical bath a day ago getting all the nasty junk off of it.
