after fixing all the oil leaks and electric I was finally able to test drive my new car.. it does have an atx and it seems really slow off the line, definitely slower than it should be.. what are some things I should check for?? another thing that seems a little weird to me is the oil pressure is really low and doesnt move at all when giving it gas.. where on the guage should the pressure be? thanks

Boost leak test. Go google how to make a boost leak vacuum tester. Can be made for under 20 with Home Depot and an air compressor. Figure a 10 year old car needs new vacuum hoses.

yeah, im sure theres leaks in the vaccum hoses... one of the hoses is just hanging there and i cant find where its supposed to go.. i dont think that one hose alone would cause the car to have no power.. but a few hoses and/or something else may... i'll try out that boost leak test today, thanks

Where is the hose that "is just hanging there"? Pictures will help us help you if you can get them.

The most common I have seen is the valve cover breather. If it is coming off of the passenger side of the vavle cover then people will go back and forth on whether or not it needs to be plumbed back into the system.

the first picture is where it ends (looks like the connection cracked off???), the second picture is where the hose starts

so what would this be? (again all that oil isnt from me) the first picture is the actual line itself, the second picture is where the line is connected to, thats right.. its not connected to anything... help? LOL

or if you really want you can buy from a company called glowshift. work just as well as any other company, they have 7 interchangeable colors, and are much cheaper. i prefer them over other gauges. just giving my 2 cents

Welcome - a few notes here - first: Don't be surpised if you;ve NOT fixed all the Oil leaks.
- Second: Check your Oil Pressure Sending Unit wiring connection at the Sensor. QUICKLY, Check your oil A LOT until you get that sorted out.
- third: with all that Oil around you'll be buying an Alternator SOON & it very well may take your ECU with it when it goes.
- Personally I'd have to clean the hell outa this thing like yesterday, that should keep you busy for about a week.
- Spend MORE time on these Boards figuring out what the hell you've got & less time Test Driving this thing until you know what you're looking at.
- You;ll have to be REALLY careful with this thing for a while or you'll be looking for a Motor on these Boards next week & I'm not being mean I'm being truthful - Been there, done that...

- Good Luck
