Just bought a 95 gst

Alright is did a search and could not find anything..... I recently bought a 95 gst... He claimed he did a 1g7bolt swap.. and an evoIII turbo... The turbo looks right but how do I verify the 1gbolt... My cel is on and the code is for my egr valve.... Which one do I go with 1g, or 2g... does this make a difference??? Thanks in advance....
