just bought a 92 gsx need help

im new to dsms and turbo cars. i just bought a 92 gsx completely stock. the guy i bought it from said it just needed a new ecu and i got one but its still giving me problems. it idles funny like it doesn't want to keep running and white smoke shoots out the exhaust constantly. once i replaced the ecu it gave more power but after a couple blocks of driving it died and wont start back up, im not sure if its burning to much fuel or what. can anyone help me out?

i took the T off thats in that picture and replaced it.

we started up the car and it smokes and when i put my hand by the exhaust tip my hand gets wet with gas and smells like gas. i pulled the spark plugs there pitch black the smell like pure gas.

Running a non-turbo ECU in a turbo car will do that.

The ECU thinks the injectors are 240cc, turns them on for the couple of milliseconds it thinks it needs to, and winds up drowning in fuel because the 450cc injectors spray almost 100% more fuel that is needed.

I have both Federal and California ECUs for a 92 AWD on the shelf downstairs.

whats the diff between federal and California? do u have to have certain type for the state?

White smoke is also unburned fuel if it's RIIICCH

As for CA vs Federal, CA has requirements that make the feds look lazy. But it also varies from county to county.

ya, its deff running rich. hopefully when i get a new ecu it will solve the problem.

Is it possible to put a straight piece of vaccume tube between the too main points?
Are you sure you don't have a vaccume/boost leak?
I'm half awake so it this don't make sence, sorry I try'd.

ya i put a strait piece and took off the tee.

steve i sent you a pm for the ecu's, i dont know if it went through cause my comp is kinda messed up so let me know if you got it.
