Just a question about injectors.

Are all the injectors are universal? Can you like take a civic injector and put it in a galant? Just weird thoughts are going thru my mind. What size are old school supras injectors and like rx-7 anyone know?

One more question. Is 1gen SMIC is begger then 2gen?

The fitment of injectors are basically the same except the electrical plug.

Also keep in mind on if the car they came from has and injector resistor or not. ( as far as if they will work on your car)

Don't forget "type" of injector.........
Depending on the year car they came from Honda used saturated and non-saturated (peak and hold) injectors. Roughly pre-OBD1 engines had peak and hold injectors, and OBD1 and newer engines had saturated injectors. CRX's and older Civics/Preludes have resistor boxes.......newer Civics and Integra do not have these.

~Saturated injectors - no inj resistor box used, generally smaller size injectors
~Peak and Hold injectors - a inj resistor box is NEEDED, generally larger size injectors

You should not mix them from engine to engine. Running a set of peak and hold injectors without a resistor box will possibly damage the ECM or injectors themselves. They will not respond correctly anyways.

So, you just confuse me but its ok. Maybe i should say this way, is there any other "old" vehicle that has bigger injectors then ours and could be used on our cars?

What about EVO8 injectors? They are 560cc or something like that and can be found pretty cheaply/easily I have heard. I do not know what size the RX7 injectors are though.

FYI Honda injectors are 240cc at best though

evo8's are 580cc, much bigger than stock DSM turbo injectors...other than that, I haven't heard of many other DSM'ers messing with other cars injector
