wow looks really good man! engine shots engine shots!!!!! haha cant wait to see it on the car its come along way since the first post keep up the good work

That looks beautiful! I can't wait to see everything all bolted up.

Yep that does look great, nice set up so far.

Thanks guys! I'll keep posting pics. I try to post as many as possible because I always like watching threads that have a lot to look at. I almost get excited looking at others' parts. Haha

Hey JJ been a while, Car's coming along great. Can't wait to see it all buttoned up, is there anything done to the internals?

Dude! What's going on!? Long time no hear. What's going on with the whip?

The internals are all stock. I just have to go buy me an OEM composite head gasket and some ARPs.

wow looks really good man! engine shots engine shots!!!!! haha cant wait to see it on the car its come along way since the first post keep up the good work

Yea I'd like to get engine shots but it's nothing to look at now as none of the parts are on yet. My valve cover is looking orangy because that damn high temp clear coat sucks. I think I posted a pic earlier.

The GSX started overheating on me, it was almost at the H (aka HOLY SH!T IT'S OVERHEATING). All coolant had been flushed recently so I decided to give the thermostat some servicing by replacing it.

No sir, just stock replacement. It had seen better days. Now my needle always stays a bit below the middle section. Nice and cool.

Well CT got a hell of a lot of white powder (about 8 inches worth) but the good ol' GSX is STILL a daily driver so off to battle her and I went. :D :thumb:

hey man!! congrats on the new parts..

had to check out your thread to see what you have been up too..

i just bought the JMF SMIM for an xmas present to me :) got a great deal on it also..

so any new plans???

some enkie RPF1's would look sick on your white car man...

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/app...its-time-some-new-wheels-quick-photoshop.html

Yea i just noticed that! Maybe we can do some back to back testing on how each SMIM feels and performs. Ive heard better things of the JMF than the Magnus but i couldnt pass up what I got the Magnus for.

No new plans except for more parts stacking. I get payed Thursday which will allow me to place a big OEM parts order through STM since they're doing the whole free shipping thing.

But I also saw JNZ doing a special on OEM so Ill have to look at that...

Holy Shat! i love those wheels. Im looking into CCW though. Just not yet, I wanna go fast THEN look fast too. haha

ya i was actually about to pull the trigger on the magnus one.. but then jnz made a me a different offer on the jmf so you saw my choice...:) you"ll prob have a better idea of testing on your magnus before my jmf since i still need to take the motor to the machine shop LOL.

-plus what turbo are you thinking about upgrading too? (hta gt3586 is my choice)
-what TB are you going to be using with the magnus? (mines flaged for q45 tb)
-what FMIC are you going with?
-are you planing any port work for your head? also

this will all effect are flow testing LOL

yes those enkies are so sick! im looking at those for my car also.. what do the ccw look like?

jnz is deff the place for oem part orders +1

Nice thread. It seems that you are dumping a whole lot of money into your DSM. Can't wait to see the out come.

Damn jj droppin' lots of dough lately LOL. Nice man likin' the progress.

Nice thread. It seems that you are dumping a whole lot of money into your DSM. Can't wait to see the out come.

Thanks fellow DSMers! I consider this as an investment since I expect to not dump too much money into the GSX once I have my setup up and running. :hellyeah:

But It seems that once you "finish" your car, there are always more and more things to be bought. ROFL

Well how much did ya get the JMF for? When do you plan on finishing the car to test the mani?

My Magnus is flanged for a 1g TB since I didnt want to go and buy another TB.

My turbo will be a FP Green.

I will be running the Punishment Racing FMIC. This thing looks sick. :hellyeah: You?

I will not be doing port work on the head. If anything, Ill just gasket match the ports. We'll see.

The CCW look amazing. Here's a shot.

They are knockoffs (I believe) so they'll probably be cheaper than the Enkei's.

I just placed my bigass JNZ order so we'll see when I get it. How's things on your neck of the car? LOL

I was bored as hell last night so I started arranging all my boxes of crap and took some pics while at it. Here's what my setup will somewhat look like. And I have some questions and am requesting opinions.

Ok well just in case my P.R. tbolt camps decided to take a crap, I decided to buy some extras just in case from Extreme. The big ones are for the FP intake pipe. I know theyre not needed as there is no pressure but I think they'll look badass.

You must be logged in to view this image or video.

Here's the -10AN SS line from Extreme that will bolt up to the Green. I plan on using as much silver and black in the engine bay so I ordered the black fittings. More of a stealth look.

I bought this one just for kicks.

Im still undecided on whether I should powdercoat it or leave it as is (factory colors). This thing is pretty clean. :hmm: Any opinions?

I also bought this Injen piece off a fellow member.

Anybody ever use the Harbor Freight polishing kit? How is it?

I was going to run the FMIC with the T25 so I bought the ETS Vpipe but decided against it so I may sell the pipe.

My damn hood release snapped so I bought an OEM one. Has anybody ever replaced one before?

Im almost positive the problematic-to-replace fuel filter needs replacing so Ill be doing it with an OEM when it comes time to. :)

Since Ill be swapping out to the PR MVS o2 housing I'll need new gaskets.

ExtremePSI FTW again. They supplied me with OEM TB gaskets, BISS screw/cap/o-ring, new 1g BOV gasket as well as TB shaft seals. Also, OEM turbo bolt washers.

As said, Ill be running the 1g throttle body. This ones needs a good cleaning and a rebuild but it'll look pimp when Im done with it. :hellyeah:

Well thats about all I have right now in parts department. I have a few more things on the way. I'll post when I have them. It's too cold to work on my car so thats why I consider Winter a great time to stack parts. :D

Let me know what you think on those questions.

wow Jrock damn i was wondering when you were going to update you build...!!!

1.i would say supra fuel pump FTW tons of fuel and none of the whine as the walbro.

2.that punishment racing FMIC looks great.. ( i'll being running the ETS race setup)

3.my head will be going through a complete make over with all the goodies and a full port and polish.. i need to open up the runners for my FP4 :hellyeah:

4.those ccw do look good, kinda a euro theme.. i'm just bias to those enkies :)

5. i got my manifold for a lil under 500 with a polish job

6.FP green is sick, my boy with an evo 9 is running the same turbo unbelievable how hard and fast this turbo spools. with the hks 272

man i wish i was buying parts right now for my eclipse but im kinda on hold since im saving money for my cage. as soon as i get that installed i will be putting my interior back together.

after that its on to my engine bay where i'm tearing it down and prepping it for paint.. :) i like things clean LOL.

once all of that is done, then the motor is off to the machine shop. tons of work still ahead :/

Im looking to polish to let us know how that harbor freight set works out i might get that rather than having some parts powdercoated.

im pretty sure i just watched a video of your old dsm on youtube LOL............i was searching dsm exhausts and i came accross a maroon/red one with black rims with cams and a r&d Thermal exhaust and damn did that thing sound sick. then i was looking at the comments and saw jjrock so i was like wait a second haha anyways from seeing that and this thread i can say good job with what you have done with your dsms...........very clean and nice

Sure man, I was actually thinking of either doing this or sending all brackets, valve cover and head to get powder coated with extreme chrome.

I wasnt expecting these today but they're here!!! :D

I cant run much boost without a set of these babies. :rocks: 7 bolt ARP head studs. I took advantage of STM's free shipping deal.

I can't wait to see this start coming together... its like you are reading my mind. You are doing everything I'd like to do to mine except my budget isn't quite there yet.

I got my JNZ Tuning OEM order in!! :D

This got me very excited because I know OEM means quality parts.

Heres the big ass box.

The driver side inner fender shield (plastic) is pretty beat up on the GSX so I bought one. Pretty cheap for OEM and comes with all clips.

As many recommended, the OEM weighted shift knob. This thing is HEAVY! Full leather wrapped too.

Ill be pulling the head for the ARP studs so went with an OEM composite head gasket.

My key is just about twisted from opening and locking doors, especially the trunk so I bought an OEM blank.

I never knew this but Eclipses came with factory spark plug cable brackets(they sit on the plug well). I noticed this while I was on CAPS so I bought the 3 recommended. Meh, I might as well buy and say that I have them. ROFL
