I disassembled the turbo a little while ago and now that Im ready to put it back together I decided that since Im not going to polish it I'd still give it a shine.

It's actually OEM composite, didnt do any machine work to the block for me to safely use a 4-layer

These bastard classes are kickin my ass man. I didnt want to spoil the surprise BUT I started the beast this past Saturday. :hellyeah:

I have a million pictures of so many things since I last posted. I just havent had time. I will post asap and give some tips for the future Holset users.

The bad news is that I have a small oil leak developing between the tranny bellhousing and the engine itself. This makes me think either the NEW rear main oil seal is leaking (I pray it's not that) or the oil pan gasket needs to be resealed (never replaced the gasket but it never leaked before).

We'll see what happens.

Here are a few WAY back updates but I still want to keep a chronologocal order in this thread and I dont want to skip steps and encounters.

Installed the JMF coil bracket and had to extend my transistor wires, no sweat.

To be continued....

Somebody please post anything on here so I can continue to post pics. Freakin Tuners gives me like a 20 pic MAX upload per post and they have their "bump" lock. Stupid if you ask me.

Let's hope some fellow DSMers can use these pics at some point to help on their journey to Holset installs.

Sick build man. "You guys wanna run these buckets...yeah you wanna run these toilets!" I still die when I watch that. "500+, 500+." Sick build, kind of reminds me of what I'm doing just with an HX40.

Damn nice updates jjrock ! I see someone has been getting real serious with their project LOL.
I am back in the game again bro, hahaha didn't last too long, got me another 95 gst, red this time.
Anywho congrats and keep up the great work !

Btw - Will you be using the stock maf or are you going to be using something else ? Let me know.

Hey thanks guys! Yea, that may be my favorite video. LOL

J89, Im glad you got another one dude! Im using the stock MAF now but will be using GM via V3 once I tune.

Nice man loving the updates, shit looks clean and serious.
Question, did you have to hack the PR i/c pipes in any way to make the gm maf sit good ? More pics of the under side where the PR pipes come to connect to the passenger side of the intercooler would be nice.

I had to cut about 6 inches off of the PR elbow, since this is what the MAF will take up in space. Other than that, no modifications to any other piping. I will take some pics next time man.

Are you still running the Holset? ### i coulda swore i saw it up on the classifieds ?

ROFL Yea dude, it was up in the classifieds. At this very moment Im no longer rockin a Holset. Now Im in with the FP Green cool kids. LOL I posted all this because i want this thread to be a timeline of what the car has gone through.

On to the pics:

I made a bigass boost leak tester so I would make sure I had no leaks.

Turns out the damn P.R. bov flange is DEFINITELY not flat and cause a pretty big boost leak.

You can kind of see it here

You must be logged in to view this image or video.

Looks how the flange sits, not very good quality nor flatness if you ask me

You must be logged in to view this image or video.

I dont have anyway to machine it flat so I used Grey RTV and it did the trick

THIS is the point after riding with the Holset for about 50 miles that a friendly bet with a fellow DSMer made me decide to unbolt the HX and bolt up the Green. Now Im looking for 400 WHP out of it and I WIN!!! Ok so now now Im almost caught up with up to date updates and pics. Let's move on:

A shot of the Green torn apart for minor "maintenance"

I decided to polish the compressor cover, and my thumb finger nail took a beating. Here's what I started with,

All assembled

Chased ALL threads for "better safe than sorry" purposes

And I also had to slot my NEW oem 2g drain line since the center housing of the FP Green is the 1g style for drain line bolts. I was kinda pissed I had to "hack" a new line

Im all fresh out of pics now but Ill keep posting progress. At this point, the car is being driven and boosts great, although I havent done a BLT with the Green one. I'll post back with any more updates. Thanks for reading! :hellyeah:

I believe it will. There are a few ppl on the PR FMIC thread that have reached that hp level with that IC.

Let's hope I can too.

Kick ass build man! Would you mind saying where you sourced the solarwing? I have been looking for one for years.
