I managed to get a few things done with the gauge install, the laziness kicked in but I got pretty far.

As I was doing some wire work I found that the car was already equipped with the harness to install the turbo timer. AWESOMENESS!!

Love this thread because I'm pretty much at the same mod stage or may be a bit behind on somethings :D

haha. Man these things seem somewhat small to me after doing the things I did to my old GST. But doing these things still bring a smile to my face once I see them work and go for a quick cruise. I guess these are the joys that a guy with a 'hobby' gets.

I started piling up for the HX35 hence I need a better fuel supply so a 255 HP LPH is needed.

I need my T25 to run a little better and I think the BPR7s are too cold for my set up right now so I went back to 6s:

And since the o2 bung from my AEM wideband went with my old GST(since it was welded) I had to order another one:

Just as a spare, I decided to get a foot of 2.5 in coupler hose, I think Im going to replace one thats on my car asap. I ordered black and got red but no biggie.

Just curious what wire you tapped into for the gauge lights? I forgot which one it is and Ive been meaning to switch where I have mine wired. Cause right now the light is on all the time.

Also, do you have the pillar mounted with the stock one removed? If so how did you get the screws through the metal? Thanks.

Ok before I explain which wire, my gauge lights are on as soon as I start the car wether I have the headlights on or off. This is because I bought the TINTED gauges so theyre blacked out when the gauge isnt lit up (so I wouldnt be able to see them in the day either).

I used the black w/ white stripe wire that goes to your ignition switch. Remove the upper and lower covers of the steering column and the back of the switch can be seen from the drivers side of the column.

The pod can only be mounted with the old trim piece OFF. The way I did it was I placed the new pod where I wanted it and used a 1/8'' drill bit to go through the pod AND metal at the same time, this way the hole will definitely be lined up with the gauge pod. Good luck. Its not that hard but time consuming.

sounds cool, I can't seen to get my boost gauge to light up, My location for it is under the radio in the empty din spot. I have the two wires coming off the gauge and I followed instructions but it didnt seem to light up.

You MOUNTED the gauge on the DIN spot? Where did you wire up the + and -?

nah the kid before me had it mounted there. I wired them up to the ones that the DIY said to it was like a green wire with a stripe or something or vise versa i cant remember it was a couple months ago, But I can't tell which one is +\-. Hope you have an afpr with that 255?

Hmm I always thought that the 255 'flowed too much' hence the AFPR. Nevertheless, it will be ordered soon.

You could also buy a self tapping metal screw. They have a tip that looks like a drill bit.

Yea that's true but the screws that came with the pod had special heads that make it possible to use the provided screw cover so you don't see an ugly screw when you're finished.

awesome progress!

Thanks man, good luck with that ebc, their turbo timer is great.

So this is more of a cosmetic update. The driver side headlight was getting pretty foggy but the pass side looks braaand new (I think it was replaced new). We started performing headlight cleanings at my Sunday job, we got the 3M professional kit with diff stages of sanding, 2 types of polish etc. I think it came out pretty good.

wow! i always wondered if the 3m is any good. one question, if you look hard can you still see the scratch marks? or any fog or any imperfections? my clear is peeling in the corners and i was thinking of doing this.

If you looks very VERY close you can see small scratches but thats almost like saying if I see any scrathes on my paint which are from washing the car and stuff like that. There is NO fogging or ANY imperfections. The clear coat was worse than it looks, you could actually feel the clear coat being worn off. I recommend it. I dont know how good the store item is since this kit I used is the ''Pro'' one which even has the air wheel sander.

good LUCK. Rarity as always, I believe I saw somebody was selling a set for like 110 earlier today.
