JB WELD on your downpipe???

i was planning to seal up my o2/dp leak by using some jb weld on the o2 flange.

story is the flange has warped into a kind of "pringle" [ both sides of the flange kinda curve up now ] and it has exposed a huge exhaust leak.

i was thinking of putting jb weld on there.. use a flat ruler and scraping the excess off, therefore making the flange flat again..

i know this will work, but can jb weld withstand the temperatures? i think they're rated at 600 degrees?

Besides getting it welded and fixed the right way, exhaust wrap might be able to hold up for a short time...

my testpipe had jb, it didn't last too long.

Yeah, cut your losses and just grab one from Mitsubishi Graveyard or off eBay. It's too hot for JB to live through.

well the o2/dp are aftermarket so i think i'm going to have to get it welded, i just hope no one says anything about the testpipe
