I vote for us keeping the original plan in place and having the school parking lot as a back up. I personally think that 2 weeks into the new year (and 3 weeks after Christmas) there will be plenty of parking. I agree with the comment about us NOT contacting the school... it's easier to ask for forgiveness then for permission. Especially since, I'm hoping, we won't even have to use that space. Also, with the large amount of people stating that they'll be there for sure (you can still count on some of that list not showing up) Zak, you should definitely get a hold of the place where we plan on eating at. Also...when you call, see if you can get some sort of a group discount... we're going to be a very large party and any one establishment would LOVE to have our business. Remember that we can eat anywhere when calling to make reservations and use it to our advantage.

I'm VERY VERY excited to see this list growing every day and if everything works out... it should be a lot of fun!!

* * Remember to bring any and all 2-ways that you have available to you, as with a group this large, keeping everyone on the same page will prove to be a challange * *

Hi everyone,

As 1GHAWWW stated, count me in. I should have the new motor put in by this weekend with the new IC FMIC kit which leaves plenty of time for tuning and breaking in the new miles.

Couple of things we need to take into account-

*School Property is considered trespassing if not in session or you are a student/teacher with a reason to be there.

*Mall parking garages WILL have security and security WILL call local authorities if they see too many people they can handle which they will. (Have you ever heard a nice DSM exhaust or even better, an external WG in a parking garage? Yea... not going to be under the radar. As much as you tell "everyone" to be on good behavior, there will be that "1" person.... and that will be the end of it.

*We tried a meet a while ago around Auburn. Got kicked out of the wal-mart parking lot just for being there in a large group, so went to the Home Depot Lot in the far back. No problems there... Wal-mart had security, home depot did not and we were out of the way to where they did not see us being a problem. As much as we would like to be in a covered lot due to weather and having lighting... the place has to be picked carefully. No security patrols or trespassing preferred.

I just do not see the sense of have a large group get together to have it crushed 10 minutes later by security or worse yet, security calling local PD. It would be worth changing the location this late into the thread if it meant that we can actually spend time seeing eachother's rides and actually meeting.

I can also look around and see about a good place that is covered but no worries of security or tresspassing.... like a long parking area underneath a bridge/freeway for example as they have in Sea-town.

Just my 2 cents - I am 30 years old and with that comes trying to stay out of trouble.

It kinda depends on if you are in city limits or not as well as what city. Fro instants, you just stay AWAY from Fife.
Tacoma, you can get away with places like the water front in the evenings with abundant parking as where during the nice sunny days, they patrol heavily for people just sitting at their cars.
Puyallup, Sumner, and Bonney Lake also frown on people loitering and the police do what they can to prevent it.
Best bet is the warehouse districts or over there near Boeing in Renton. There are quite a few big lots to group at.

on weekends lynnwood high school parking lot turns into lynnwood parks dept parking for the athletic fields. it is completly legal to park there. like i said in earlier post, i did go there for four years.... so i know that will be fine. :thumb:

The parking garage in Renton is still a go. It'll be able to hold well over 100+ no problems and since it's the last meet up of the night if we get kick out it's whatever. I'm sure they'll have fun trying to get 35 DSM's to leave at once.:dsm:

hey got a nuther buddy going for sher he is bringing his 2g eclipse or if he can get his 1g going in time he is going to bring that but for sher he is coming with one of them

TOTTALLY we should have a few places planned out just incase a few fall threw. Because as much fun as it would be driving around in a gangle of bov bursting dsm,s i,d like to plant down somewhere for a few and get t know some of ya.

You guys.

It's going to work out fine. Hell, you never know that authorities may come by just to check up on us wherever we are and just kick back and look at all the DSMs there anyways.

Some authorities are just cool like that.

As long as we are obeying laws (if you are not, you will be asked to leave, or removed by local authorities) and being a good crowd and not doing something to disrupt the peace, I'm sure the local authorites will have no issue wherever we go, ESPECIALLY if we are contributing to the business we are at.

We are still going to as planned, but if security decides to tighten up, we will just pack up and head over to the high school parking lot. So for those of you showing up late, if you go to the parking garage at the time we are supposed to be there and you don't see any DSMs that is where the group will be.

For now, we're sticking to the JCPenny parking garage.

Hopfully going to have my new paint job to show off:)

It looks like with this large turnout, there should be a good number of east siders coming. I'm throwing this out as an FYI for right now, but I will be holding a mini-meet in either Yakima or Ellensburg just to group up and make the trip over the pass and to the meet.

I'll post more details on this as we get closer to Jan. 13th.
