Winter mods should be done by then: 4 bolt, new transaxles, boost leaks removed, 3g MAS and 3" intake installed, actually TUNING w/ DSMLink... fixing my interior gauges. etc.. Shane you wanna stay for the week or not?:sneaky:
 
alright i have a big problem now. today i was driving home from kennewick and i was at like 4500 rpms when this problem happened. the car has like a really rough idle as if it was camed. it spikes like 500 rpms and when im am driving it it feels like a vibrating seat. feels like i have a bent driveshaft but i know i dont.

i pulled the plugs and all of them look normal.

someone tell me what they think it is so i can fix it befor this meet
 
alright well ill check that in the morning. its just a really violent shaking. i have an extra belt for the balence shaft so ill check to see if thats the problem.

if i bent the valves though i wouldnt be able to start the car right?
 
Yeah It Will Still Start,, A Bent Valve Tho You Wont Have Any Boost And Car Will Have No Power, Id Start Simple,, Look At All Your Vacume Hoses For Any Leaks, Then Go On From There,, If You Have A Compression Tester That Would Help, I Was Just Thinking Back About A Messed Up Balance Shaft That Made A Car Shake Really Bad, Let Us Know Tho.
 
well i have no compression in cylinder #3 and my balance belt tensioner pulley is bad. i have another one but what should i do about my compression. can i still drive the car? all the other cylinders are fine but #3. what should i do?

i really want to go to this meet. anyone in the tri cities think they can help me out?

i have a whole 3 bay heated shop to work in but what do i need to fix this problem quick? do you guys think i could rebuild the motor by then?
 
yeah ill be in if i get my head rebuilt in time and maybe the whole motor rebuilt. i failed the leak down test bad and all the exhaust valves on # 3 were dead.
 
well i got the head off to find my exhaust valve is missing a chunk out of it. so im hopeing to get new valves and have this thing done by the meet but im not sure if i can gather up all the money needed for parts. i can do the labor but i dont have much for money right now. all the pistons are fine so thats good. ill keep you all posted on how its going as i get further by the date.
 
Brando what is the turn around time that they gave u for the motor. I called them on Saturday but I guess they were closed. Im going to try them again soon as I get off work in the morning.

Changed me 600 dollars to hook up my Wideband o2, Cause once it was hoooked up it was 1v over the reading it should have been, he "spent 4 hours trying to figure out what was wrong" and called me up and told me it wwas going to be another 450 dollars cause my part was faulty.

Totally agaisnt all the rules of the good buisness berual and totally a shitty thing to do to another DSM'r.

But it was wired all nice a clean, He will get his money tho.

Ok on that note that me and talon got boosted talked about on another form and to help him because he was pissed about the discredit that not only some people give to Andre but to people down in Camas to. Just from experience some shops dont have a guy that would just breath, sleep, and shit DSM knowledge and understanding but to what always happens is that he does a variety of other import types. Thats why to some people that u need to know more about your car as much as the mechanic but he gets paid the dirty work. I did that when i had a nissan but I left that work for a change and trust me I read the haynes and high performance books and DSM tech guides just to help. So my thing is that what was said before you might have a problem or have to spend money but do your research first and then do the change and keep the extra cash for back up.
 
The meet n greet is now in my future! :) Should be able to turn the key tomorrow from my ground up rebuild. So far so good. Damn intake was a pain the the arse but we got it to fit. All the new IC Pipes routed as best as can be expected, 32x12x3 FMIC is very shiny!!!! LOL Today I am installing the exhast, working on the external WG dump, minor mods to the front bumper cover for pipe routing, finish the SPAL Fan wiring, add fluids, and triple check all the work. :) See you guys in a few weeks.

And yes, 1ghaaaaaw will be meeting people coming from the south as stated, just let us know if you want to so we can make sure we got everyone before he head up from there.
 
Walkie Talkies ~ I suggest using channel 13 for the 13th day. Anyone using one for the meet can set up to Chennel 13, Sub 0. Will help if cant find the parking garage/school/what have you. If the group is in the area, you will make contact.
 
1ghaaaaaw ya im down to meet up before the long trek up to lynnwood. i'll just have to follow the signs off the freeway to the super mall and look for the burger king next to wal-mart. being im from the lacey olympia area. this would be the first trip in my car since i got it. hopfully every thing works out good.

ITS NOT TO HARD TO FIND , ONCE YOU TAKE THE EXIT OFF TO THE SUPER MALL YOU TAKE A RIGHT TURN GO DOWN A SHORT WAY AND ITS ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE , AND IF YOUR BRINGING A WALKIE TALKIE WE,LL BE ON CH 13 :talon:
