Well, my car is down and I don't think the rebuild will be done in time for the meet.
I would love to ride in a car with someone, maybe someone that has an Evo?
I'll have the GF with me so an Evo would be perfect.

Preferably Peter since the ####er is quick:)

If noone can seem to hitch me a ride I'll end up taking a red Lancer.

I just don't want to rush a rebuild. I want to do it right, strong, and also more power if at all possible.
I'm extremly excited for the meet, but dissapointed at my car.

I'm in the process of doing my homework of what I'm going to put into the rebuild, but when she's running again it will be a good strong rebuild.

Anyone care to cart me and a female around?

Hey talon got boost thanks for the advice...i spoke with Andre on the phone on monday and to me I feel much better with the work hes going to do. 2.0 buildup from the rest of u guys im going for that 400whp mark due to the gst just a front wheel drive but it wil be right after the meet. Theres a lot more where that convo went with me and him but I mention the references from u guys and he was well please to here his business was well out thru Washington.

Changed me 600 dollars to hook up my Wideband o2, Cause once it was hoooked up it was 1v over the reading it should have been, he "spent 4 hours trying to figure out what was wrong" and called me up and told me it wwas going to be another 450 dollars cause my part was faulty.

Totally agaisnt all the rules of the good buisness berual and totally a shitty thing to do to another DSM'r.

I have to say I haven't experienced any of the discredits people like to throw at Andre and I've been going to him for almost 2 years now. I've never met a mechanic that would stay after hours with me just to fix a hole in an oil pan and he stayed in the shop past midnight with me to find/fix my leak, and on top of that plenty of times he's held my car in the shop pro bono to check out all the little things I "think" are wrong with my car because I'm a damn DSM hypochondriac.

Thats ok, Im sure he knows where to get people.
He has worked on my car for 3 years from the previous owner and everything is perfect on the car. And he does sit and chit chat for you for an hour or so.

He even let me meet him at 8pm to drop off my car at his shop, well he didnt make it there till 11pm and I had to leave my car at BECU cause I dont trust the area his shop is in.

But as soon as he saw me, 18 and not knowing to much as this is my 1st dsm. He got me pretty good.

Calling me up and telling me I have to pay 3 times what he quoted me for w/o going over this before he started to debug my car was the worse thing I have had a mech do to me. He then played it off and said I have to feed my faimly and my guys have to feed there kids, and we could have been working on other cars and getting paid, we need our money for thoes 3 hours of debuging.

Guys, this isn't an Andre bashing thread. I would like to back up what xxShaneOmac is saying, as I was there throughout the entire thing. I even drove my car down so that he could have a ride back up to Everett for when he dropped his car off. The story is legit.:thumb:

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE that has a shop or is a mechanic has good and bad stories.
Andre, Lucas, EVERYONE.

Anyways. I'm going to be putting in some Mahle pistons with 1g rods, all ARP hardware, bored .20 over and a MLS headgasket + ARPs.

Going to have all new gaskets from mitsu, and hopfully Ill have my ABS and prothanes installed by then, and maybe just MAYBE a 2600 clutch.

As for that is there is noone that can cart my broken ass around, I'll be taking a Lancer:(
 
Ever since the Abu Ghraib incident there's strict laws against torture... I think making someone sit in the back of a DSM is like 14th on the list of things considered in-human. Sorry buddy, I'm not going to jail for you.

Ill take you around. I only have a drivers seat and the back bench so the passenger side has like 6 ft of leg room. Only can take one though.
 
Great news for all... Jack's stock turbo finally shit out at around 75,000 miles. I don't have money right now to buy the 30r I want so I'm lookin for your old t25 or 14b you have laying in your garage because you put on your new 16g/fpgreen/gt35r etc you acquired for christmas and now no longer need the baby turbo. Any help would be much appreciated name a price. Frees great too!
 
Man I wish I could help you, but the only reason I'm rockin' a 16g right now is because my T25 puked all over itself too. Goodluck in your search (it shouldn't be too hard find a used T25).

Were you pushing a T25? Or, did your 6-bolt swap include the 14b? I'm just curious because if you're set up for a T25 and switch to a 14b, you'll have to get an install kit. They're pretty cheap, but if you stick with the T25 you won't have to shell the extra cash for the kit.
 
I'm running a T25 still. I know I'll need to get a kit for the 14b but that's nothing compared to the money I'll have to spend to have my engine machined from the metal grinding around in there if I keep driving on it. I'd like to just find another T25 but beggars can't be choosers right?
 
well im sorry to say this but im pretty much out for this meet. my cars head is blown up and the parts havnt came in and i destroyed my left knee. so i will most likly have to have surgery.

i will make it to the next meet if there is one later on.
 
Well, I just drove onto a curb and put a big dent/crack in my 3 month old new OEM front bumper! I hate the stupid gravel they put down when it snows!!! It made me lose my mini drift. So, at the meet I'll either have a broke bumper or an emptier wallet. And don't forget the gouged rims. yay...

Don't know if I'm going to be able to make it now either. My fuel pump went out on me last night. Gotta find a walboro 255 asap or i'm assed out. Plus my turbo started smoking pretty badly so I'm gonna have to tear it down and see whats messed up. We'll see though I still got 2 weeks.........
 
Im gonna need an ecu for my recently purchased 92 Talon TSI AWD so that I can take it to the meet. If anybody has one let me know. Preferably recapped.
 
anyone from the tri cities area goin? i really want to go ill pitch gas. but yeah no way i can make it with my talon bein spread across the floor in my garage and my left knee havin a torn muscle so i cant drive a stick to well.
