1 : Compression Test
2 : Check the 02 Sensor
3 : Check the plastic clip on the oil pressure sending unit to ensure that it is connected snuggly
4 : Perform a Boost Leak Test
5 : Check for Pre-Turbo Exhaust leaks

Return with these results for proper help. You can use the search function on any one of the above suggestions to figure out how to check/test said components.

ok, well i checked the 02 sensors and the plug didnt make it to the compression test yet,its been too cold and my garage isnt heated.no need to look for befor and after turbo leak anymore i believe the turbo blow..makes a funny noise no pressure and now a tun of white smoke.so change of plans..
1.check compression when its warm and i get a day off.
2.if 1 is good upgrade to evo3 big 16g turbo
3.megan 3"catback +downpipe
4.450cc or 550cc injectors
5.walburro 225 or 255 fuelpump
6.intercooler if stock cant work.
7.hopefully pull 18psi boost
does this sound like a good ideal?

All those upgrades would be pretty much a waste if it goes untuned. Get something to tune with first. We are BIG on the tuning part here, afterall it is DSM "TUNERS". Get the maintenance needs done then tuning equip and then lastly the upgrades. And yes a 16g turbo would be a good upgrade since your turbo is blown.

+1

no need to get an exhaust or turbo or anything if your car has a leaky head gasket or something along those lines.

do maintenance first: replace gaskets, change oils (engine and drivetrain), timing and accessory belts, water pumps, flush the radiatior, the works.

I see all you have right now is an intake. So let me start here..

1.) My stock gauges are a FAIL. Check into trying an aftermarket oil pressure gauge.

2.) Same as 1., but never worry or care about what your stock boost gauge says.

3.) If you do #2, you will find out if you are building boost accurately.

4.) Many ways to go about this, purchase what you want but remember that GENERALLY pipe is pipe.

5.) Define what is a lot of gas. How many miles are you getting on a full take till almost empty?

6.) Damn things idle high all the time, are you showing a check engine light as well? Have you tried adjusting the biss screw? (little screw on the throttle body)

thanks for all the info guys i'm not very good at workin on cars, but its something i want to do.so i can say i did this.weather its right or not.the belts have been changed.no check engine light.when i finally get a few days of good weather i'll be able to do more.lookin at also gettin an boost gage ,oil pressure gauge, and a a/f gauge.i get about 150-160 miles to a tank.

Unless you drive with the pedal to the metal, that is not good gas mileage. With the modifications I have I can still get 250 a tank driving mostly around town with a little highway. So you are correct in saying your mileage is bad.LOL
