I bought a 96 talon tsi for 300 bucks. The car didn't run obviously I bought it from someone it had been sitting for 2 years timing belt was good. I took it home started working on it there was 0 psi on all cylinders. I tore it apart and all the intake valves were bent. I have a new head on the way so thats good. But i'm thinking I am going to need a new turbo. I have never seen the car run but on the intake side of the piping the mesh looking part of the intake pipe there was alot of oil down in there. This is my first turbo car am I right to assume the seals on the turbo are gone?

Ya I have read up on catch cans. This ammout of oil doesn't seem bad and this really isn't alot of shaft play if any. Putting the car back together tomorrow night so hope all goes well.
