is this turbo a good choice ????

I was looking to purchase a t3 turbo but, before I do I was wondering how good are they????

No we just no better.

You are not making sure the wheels are perfectly round you are making sure they are weighted correctly, like wheel and tire balacing. Also, the speed the lathe turns at is not even going to come close to what the turbo spins at so I don't see how you plan and doing it correctly.

Do you have any heavy truck repair shops around? A lot of the bigger shops have the equipment for turbo balancing. I know around here, we have about 5 shops that can balance it while I wait. Generally, it cost from $50-100, depending on who does it. If you want to ship it out, fp will balance it and I think the charge is around $80.

yes, there are heavy duty truck shops around here but, I didn't know that they did that. I'll have to check that out. thanks

Yes, FP does offer this service. Smart decision on sending it out to get balanced.

Actually sometimes the big rig truck shops can rebuild turbos and they usually do a great job. The kenworth shop around here rebuilds turbos and I think they even warranty the work. Those big trucks push a lot of boost and usually get a lot of miles out of them.
