Is this a Good Turbo

I know this isn't the right place to post this but I cant post anywhere else, so I am sorry. I would like to know if this is a good turbo
GT45 T4/T66 PORTED SHROUD TURBO (TWIN SCROLL)

Intake :4 inch
Outlet: 2.5 inch
Compressor trim: .70 ar
Compressor Wheel diameter: 66.71 /84.20
Turbine wheel diameter : 63.56 /73.60

Downpipe flange type : 3.25" v band flange
Cooling type: oil cooled only

A quick Google search reveals that this is a Godspeed turbo. Unless you want to replace it in less than 1,000 miles, no it's not a good choice. This horse has been beaten to death. Avoid cheap Chinese made turbos.

If this is a godspeed, or ebay type turbo like I think it is I'd say NO. There are reasons why these are so cheap.

then what turbo would be a decent one for around 500-600 bucks(if there is one)? I don't mind looking stuff up but I have no idea what things are good for a turbo. I would like something that spools fast and can boost around 25-30 psi. I have heard a lot of things, like twin scroll, or ball bearing is better. I have very limited knowledge on this matter. Right now I have a cheap t3/t4 turbo and it sux. Thank you all in advance, and please be gentle.

What you're giving us doesn't help much. What are your power goals? 25-30 psi on a 14b is vastly different from say a 20g( not the you really want a 14b that high). You need to take into account a compressor wheel's efficiency range. After a certain point, you'll only be blowing hot air. A turbo's flow rate is a much better indication of what you're looking for. You can find plenty of rebuilt MHI turbos for a price lower than $500 depending on size. Leaps and bounds more reliable than an eBay turbo for sure. Give us a proper goal you're looking to achieve horsepower wise and we can send you in the right direction. In the mean time, I HIGHLY suggest you use the vast amount of resources on this site to increase you knowledge on turbochargers and automobiles as a whole.

Seconded. OP you'll be hard pressed to make 450whp on an MHI. Start researching a Holset based build.

Then forget about my price range what would a good turbo be, I wouldn't want to max it out, with what I got. I would want room to grow with it. My upgrades all up current. I do all my own installs and rebuilds. It might not sound like it but I build all my own engines ( chevy 350's for a dirt track race car). I just don't know about forced induction upgrades.

Ok so lets humor this.. you save up your ~$1100 + shipping for this 65lb/min DSM flanged turbo.

Have you researched what you need to support it? Or how to tune? Or considered what fuel you will be running to make that power and still have room to grow?

Putting together an NA SBC vs. a high-output turbo anything are night and day propositions.
