Is this Frankenstein setup worth changing?

First off here's the setup:

6 Bolt block
2g ported heads
1g intake manifold and TB
Evo 8 intake cam
Evo 9 exhaust cam
2g ported exhaust manifold
18G Mitsu turbo ported polished and clipped 10 degrees

I got a decent deal on the car, and the previous owner built this motor. But I'm not too sure if this combo is really worth trying to dial in. I've heard talk of people using these parts individually but I haven't found anyone running this combo... and there might be a good reason for that :p

It came with a very old school HKS VPC that was chipped for different injectors than what I have. Because of that, it hasn't really run right since I bought it so I haven't had a chance to see how good/terrible its performance is. But I just bought DSMLink and an SD setup and I'm going to have to pull the intake manifold to tap for the MAP sensor.

I figure if I'm going to pull the IM I might as well look at the rest of the setup to see if it's even worth fooling with. If you guys have any thoughts on this combination I'm all ears.

The odd ball that really stands out to me is the 2g head with 1g mani. I have not heard of that being done due to the difference in shape of the openings. Its fairly significant. I dont see how that would flow too well. The cams I cant comment on but im sure they will work just fine, maybe not ideally, but not a problem. I would get that mani off and see what has been done to the head side and mani side. See if they even remotely line up right. If not, grab a 2g intake mani and you should be ok.

SMH, that is just weird: A 6 bolt block witha 2g head with a 1g IM LOL. Why in the world would the guy not just keep the 1g head? Who knows

If you get a 2g IM you can make it work with a 1g TB. Thought id mention that. It can be ported out to match the larger TB

Yea, I'm hoping I can just swap to a 2g intake manifold. From looking at pics of a 1g head beside a 2g head I don't think there is anyway he could've port matched the head to the IM. And if he did it would probably have royally screwed up the velocity of the 2g runners. I guess I really won't know what I have until I get that IM off and take a look at the head. Man I hope I don't have to pull the head out of there.
