Is this control arm any good? Pics inside

I would say it needs replaced, the shaft where the bushing rides is deformed.
Most control arms I have incountered are a machined surface, and the bushings contan an inner sleeve.

Yeah there was some pretty nasty crusty stuff inside the old rubber bushing that might have been the inner sleeve your talking about just rotted to hell.

Yea, thats a really worn control arm. You can order some new aftermarket ones from 1AAuto.com
Mitsubishi Eclipse Eclipse Talon Laser Front Lower Control Arm LH at 1AAuto.com with how-to installation video.

Heres a couple threads about the above link:

I have the 1AAuto arms in my possession and they look exactly like they do in the above links. A quality replacement control arm if I've ever seen one :thumb:

Thanks for the links. I've come across that dorman vs raybestos thread before. Looks like I'll be ordering a set of the 1AAuto arms asap.

How hard is it going to be to remove the bushing and sleeve from the new arms so I can install my prothane's?

Well, I cant pull the bushing off by hand but Im sure you can pry it off somehow, like with a couple beefy screwdrivers and a vice..... and definitely some wd40 or something.
