Is this a bad engine?

This has been bothering me, and hopefully some of you know if this is bad? or is there place where i can buy new parts of these [circled them], its a 98 gsx engine

Dude, thats pretty much the cleanest 2g engine bay I have ever seen. Upper circle is a lift mount, that stuff on it appears to be whats called rust. Rust occurs due to the oxidation of steel. Its fine. If you really don't like it take it off and clean it. Second lower circle. I don't see what the problem is? Also a little rust. You cant really stop cast iron from rusting it just happens. No big deal. Nice car.

Looks completely normal for the engine bay of an 8 year old car...maybe even above normal.

If you want a new heat shield, the lower part you circled, then order one of these:

Ha, thanks, it was just worrying me a bit if maybe it was gonna mess with the engine, guess I'll have to clean it up, order that manifold cover as well.

Take all of the parts off, sand them down and spray them with some VHT flameproof in black or silver. It'll look much better and you won't have to order new parts.

looks really clean for a DSM engine bay the other parts are just rust like they said.
