Is the 2g power steering pump the same as the 1g?

Hi guys,
My powersteering pump recently went out on me and I got an offer from a guy locally who had a powersteering pump off a 2g. I was just wondering if they were the same and if they would match up properly. Any help would be great thanx guys

They are not the same. The 1g uses a V belt and the 2g uses a ribbed belt.

Why not just swap the pulley's then?

The way the pulleys are attached to the pump are different.

1g on the left.
