1g tq converters the same as 2g?

Heres a question for all you. Since I am doing the full 6 bolt swap in my 2g AWD auto talon, Can I just buy a 1g AWD auto tq converter and slide that into my 2g AWD tranny? The Kiggly 6 bolt swap kit is $320 and that seems a bit steep for this point. I know somone said that if I bolted on a 6 bolt flex plate, it will only just destroy my tranny. Thanks guys

No. The 2G converter is a lockup, 1G is not.

i have had 1g automatic trannies with a lockup solenoid in the trans. whether or not it was being used, i have no clue, nor do i have a clue if the converter had the clutch inside to lockup. it is a function of the f4a22 though. there are some with it, some without it, and the f4a22 only came on the 1g dsms and some later hyundais.
