Is my clutch gone?

So after finally getting my power windows back (it was just the relay), I'm taking it out for a spin and the clutch is feeling funky... acting like it doesn't want to be takin out of or go into any gear. I figure I'll drive it home and change the tranny fluid. I stop at a buddy's house and go in for a minute, leaving the car running. Come back out, try to put it in reverse and get the horrendous grinding sound and the car acts like it's trying to stall, so I grind it back out of reverse and put it in neutral. Now the clutch is complete mush and won't go into any gear. Keep in mind no more than a week ago this clutch was extremely firm to press... to the point where it would make my leg tired if held in for a few seconds. There was also a small spot of what I assume to be tranny fluid under the car when we moved it. I haven't tried filling the clutch master cylinder up and pumping the pedal yet... but does anyone know what this could be?

/\ agreed. it sound like you have lost fluid (make sure you have fluid 1st) either in a line or you master is or has gone bad. If both are fine ... which it dosnt sound like they would be you just may need someting as simple as a clutch adjustment.
