Is my car turbo or not?

Ive been hearing this really weird PPPSSSSHHHH noise between shifts.

Ive been told that it's a vacuum leak. Someone said it is my turbo. I dont even know if my car is turbo charged or not. I have no stickers on my car, thats how I bought it.

People have also asked me if my car is front wheel drive or rear wheel drive, Im not sure of that either, but I really hope its rear wheel... How can I tell?

but hey i remember the days when i didn't know what a turbo looked like. but how do you buy a car not knowing whether it was turbo or not. but the simpliest way is go look into the engine bay like DSMcrazy3 was saying. plus the turbo should stand right out. smack in the middle right behind your radiator.

if you have a 2g(95-99 models) look at your muffler if it's dual tip then you have a turbo if it's single you have a non-turbo.

but hey i remember the days when i didn't know what a turbo looked like. but how do you buy a car not knowing whether it was turbo or not. but the simpliest way is go look into the engine bay like DSMcrazy3 was saying. plus the turbo should stand right out. smack in the middle right behind your radiator.

The right side is always the passenger side. Having said that,

1) open up your hood
2) look at your intake
2a) if it is on the right side of the car and leads downwards towards the ground, go to step 3
2b) if it is on the left side of the car and leads towards the firewall, go to step 4
3) are you sure? go to step 5
4) really sure? go to step 6
5) you have a turbo, go to step 7
6) you do not have a turbo, go to step 7
7) you shouldn't own this car, at least not yet since you don't know anything about it yet.

If you ask what the intake looks like, then go to step 8

8) don't ask what an intake looks like.
