ok so i have a leak in the coolant system. the exhost has white smoke. it not something simple like a cap or stat. so what i am asking is what are the chances it is my turbo and not my head? i have no sign of coolant in oil. oil level has not droped. :laser:

well i should of told you the head that i warp was warp to far so had got one from a friend had it gone over it a shop they valves and valves seats and resurfaced the head to so in good shape when i put it on just hoping that i didn't warp this one to

Did you ever find out what warped the last head? Overheating? Feel free to tell us everything all at once now. ROFL

OK so i was going home late one night was very tired just want to get home the water pump belt broke saw the dash light just for some stupid reason i throw a code so i kept going so then the top hose burst i though in backfired so i was try to get it homeand that is how i did it i know now to stop and check first i leaned the hard way

This is more complicated than I thought, you should include more details next time right from the start so it doesn't take a full page to get to the bottom line.

This is like the chicken or the egg question, obviously your pump has been replaced so the question is, warped head causing overheating or overheating warped a second head? In any case, I think a leakdown test and a coolant pressure test should both be done to be safe. Good luck.

OK thanks for the help i don't thank it is related to be for be cause it ran fine up till now i will let you know how i made out :laser:

so i got a tester to day put in on pump it up it stared to drop rite away i saw a drop of water come from mt top hose it is leaking where the hose is clamped at going to fix it and test it again :laser: ROFL

We had just replaced the turbo on a Laser, and it was pushing 20 psi on a stock motor. It blew the head gasket. Which caused white smoke, and oil leakage. So check the head gasket. Its not that expensive, just hell to get to.

yea i fpond the leak i hope at leastthe car has sat for a wile the cluch went so till i fix that i am not sure but i found a lot of hoses leaking so that fix it

OK, I need some help, I have had a small oil leak for a little bit, and have been meaning to tend to it, but being the procrastinator I am I didnt get to it soon enough.

Anyways, a few days ago I was driving kindof hard and all of the sudden my car lost alot of power, so I look at my boost guage and floor it and there is no power and no boost. so I go back to my friends house and park it. The next morning I decided to drive it home to park it there, I started to leave my friends and everything was ok for a little bit (still no boost though) then all of the sudden white smoke is pouring out of my exhaust, its constant, the only time it doesnt was when I was decelerating. Well then my car starts to hesitate and sputter so I pull into a gas station and buy some oil because the oil was low, then I start it back up and it stopped sputtering, still smoking and still no boost. Well about 5min from my house it starts hesitating and sputtering again and then stalls (no bangs or smoke coming from the engine bay). It wont start back up (there was still no boost and the white smoke problem continued) , its not even cranking, so i called a tow truck and am waiting for a shop i used to work at to call me back with the diagnosis....What are the possibilities???
